About the Programme:

An 'Inter-College Lecture Competition on Company Law' was organised by the Department of Commerce & Department of Economics in collaboration with IQAC, Vijaygarh Jyotish Ray College, Kolkata on the account of World Law Day on 10th July, 2021 from 4 pm to 7.30 pm. This Inter-College Competition was chaired by CS Sunita Saha, Associate Member, Institute of Company Secretaries of India, Associated with ICSI_CCGRT (Centre of Corporate Governance Research & Training). The target audience of this programme was students of B.Com. 2^nd Semester. A total of 30 students from different colleges in Kolkata participated in this competition. The programme was held in Google Meet platform. The webinar opened with words of inspiration from Dr. Rajyasri Neogy, Principal of Vijaygarh Jyotish Ray College, who formally delivered the welcome speech. The students were given 3 minutes to speak on any one of the three pre-declared topics. Students were asked to present their views through speech or by the help of PowerPoint Presentation. At the end of the competition, CS Saha declared the name of the students who secured the 1^st, 2^nd and 3^rd places. The seminar ended with a vote of thanks from the IQAC co-ordinator, Dr. Sampa Debnath. The participants were provided with e- certificate of participation for attending the seminar and the winners were provided with e-certificate of merit.
