The Department of Mathematics & IQAC, Vijaygarh Jyotish Ray college in collaboration with the Department of Mathematics & IQAC, Netaji Nagar Day college organized an Inter-college Quiz competition for UG Students on 22nd December, 2023 to celebrate the National Mathematics Day 2023: the 136th Birth Anniversary of Srinivasa Ramanujan at 12 NOON onwards in the Rabindra Sabhagriha, Vijaygarh Jyotish Ray college. The Programme was started with the keynote speech of the Principal Madam, Dr. Rajyasri Neogy. The chief guest of the programme was Dr.Sonali Banerjee (Jash), Principal of Netaji Nagar Day college and Dr. Dibyendu Panigrahi, IQAC coordinator of Netaji Nagar Day College.Students of eleven different colleges of Kolkata (Sundarban Hazi Desarat College, Fakir Chand College, Raidighi College, Bankim Sardar College, Vijaygarh Jyotish Ray College, Netaji Nadar Day College, Muralidhar Girls college, Vivekananda College, Sammilani Mahavidyalaya, New Alipore College, Sundarban Mahavidyalaya) had participated in the competition. Total 12 teams from those colleges took part in the competition where each team contained 2 participants. Vijaygarh Jyotish Ray College stood 1st, Sundarban Mahavidyalaya stood 2nd and Netaji Nagar Day college stood 3rd in Quiz competition. All the participants of quiz competition got certificate of participation and the winners, 1st and 2nd runners-up got prize and certificate of merit. A total of 36 participants took part in this event. The event ended with a vote of thanks from Dr. Sujay Nayek, Assistant Professor, Netaji Nagar Day College.
