About The Conference
Department of Microbiology, Placement Cell; Alumni Association of Vijaygarh Jyotish Ray College, BIRAC along with Microbiologist’s Society, India is jointly going to organize an International Conference on “Scopes of microbiology beyond academia: industry, entrepreneurship and more” 5-6 April, 2024. Microbiology has a broad scope beyond academic field, with various opportunities in industry, entrepreneurship, and other fields. A lot of opportunities are there in fields like pharmaceutical industry, food and beverage industry, clinical microbiology, healthcare, cosmetics, personal care, environmental microbiology, bioremediation, waste management, etc. The organizing committee is eager to encourage research findings and discussion in the sessions. In order to maintain a continuous stream of new ideas and experimentations, students should be encouraged in industrial microbiology, entrepreneurship and startups. New types of jobs like consultancy, science communication are increasing its opportunity in this field of science also. Hence, all researchers, students, professionals will have to come to terms with the current challenges and take positive steps to future perspectives of microbiological research and microbiology as a subject.
