Kolkata, September 28th , 2023: The senior batch of the English Department of the Vijaygarh Jyotish Ray College was bid farewell by their juniors and teachers. The program started with an opening dance on ‘Asathoma Sadhgamaya' performed by one of the students of the junior batch. The arrangement of the events followed a certain pattern which made the seniors rejoice in their memories made in the aforementioned college. In the middle of the program, the Principal of Vijaygarh Jyotish Ray College came up on stage to share her experiences and give the students her advice on setting sail for a new journey. The teachers of the department then put forward their memories. This was followed by a get-together of all the students of the senior batch on stage. They shared their experiences, went back the memory lane, and performed some songs to entertain themselves and the others for one last time. The program continued further with the performances the juniors prepared for them. It ended with everyone taking selfies and group photos with their teachers and friends. Farewells are nothing but just a way of ending a journey officially. But, it also implies the beginning of a new one. That is what farewells are celebrated for; to welcome a new chapter of one's life.
