The Department of English, Vijaygarh Jyotish Ray College celebrated the birthday of William Shakespeare on 28th April, 2022 with a small cultural programme followed by an exciting Quiz Competition on the bard. The programme was graced by the hon. Principal of the college Dr. Rajyasri Neogy who delivered her speech on the importance of observing such days and the role of students in such programmes. The programme was marked by interesting enactments of extracts from Shakespearean plays by students of the department as well as a debate competition on the topic "In the opinion of the house Lady Macbeth is the fourth witch". The programme ended with the distribution of awards followed by a vote of thanks. .jpg)
