Report on Microteaching Program conducted by Chemistry dept. VJRC
The Department of Chemistry, Vijaygarh Jyotish Ray College conducted a virtual Microteaching webinar on 7th October 2021 on and from 7.00 PM onward. In the aforesaid webinar, the representers were 4th Semester Chemistry Honours students of academic year 2021. The target audience of this webinar were students and faculties of this institution. The webinar started with a motivational and thought-provoking welcome speech from Dr. Rajyasri Neogy, Principal of Vijaygarh Jyotish Ray College. After that Dr. Sumita Roy, Head of the Chemistry Dept. beautifully conveyed the inner meaning of Microteaching. Thereafter, Conveners of this webinars Dr. Sayantani Chatterjee and Dr. Anindita Mukherjee expalined the essence of this webinar and the utility of the program regarding enhancement of team spirit. They really appreciated the hard work and enthusiasm from the participants. A total of 130 participants including students and faculties attended the seminar on Google Meet (The online platform of the webinar). The students magnificently explained some important topics of physical and organic chemistry pertaining the syllabus were really outstanding and thought provoking. This motivated a lot their co students and the presenters also addressed the queries of the audience in details with utmost patient. The webinar ended with vote of thanks from the conveners of the program. The feedback was highly effective as many of the other students of Chemistry Honours have also shown their willingness of participation in future.
