Bio sketch

I have obtained my Bachelor (B.Sc.) degree in Microbiology from Asutosh College and Master (M.Sc.) in Microbiology from Vijaygarh Jyotish Ray College under the University of Calcutta. I have also completed One Year advanced Diploma Course in Bioinformatics from Department of Biophysics, Molecular Biology & Bioinformatics, University of Calcutta under BTIS programme of the Department of Biotechnology, Government of India. After qualifying Joint CSIR-UGC National Eligibility Test-JRF (NET-JRF), I worked on the molecular pathogenesis for the development of human cervical cancer from Chittaranjan National Cancer Institute and obtained my Ph.D (Sc) degree under the Department of Microbiology, University of Calcutta in 2018. During my research work, I have published numerous original research works in different reputed international journals. I also attended various national and international conferences during my research days. I am also attached with the Department of Microbiology, Vijaygarh Jyotish Ray College since 2011. From then, I am involved in teaching both the postgraduate and undergraduate students. My teaching area is Cell biology, Molecular biology, Virology, Biotechnology, Recombinant DNA Technology, Immunology, Genomics and Bioinformatics. I have also mentored many postgraduate and undergraduate students to complete their project works for their completion of the degree. I extremely enjoy this teaching part. Apart from teaching, I am also associated with different departmental as well as college activities. I still continue my quest for knowledge in this advanced field of life science and try to motivate my students to pursue their career in this vast field yet to be discovered fully.

1. PhD in Microbiology (Specialization: Cancer Molecular Genetics) from Chittaranjan National Cancer Institute under the Department of Microbiology, University of Calcutta in the year 2018

2. Qualified Joint CSIR-UGC National Eligibility Test-JRF (NET-JRF) in Life Sciences conducted by CSIR, India in the year 2011

3. One Year PG Advanced Diploma in Bioinformatics from Department of Biophysics, Molecular Biology & Bioinformatics, University of Calcutta in 2011 under BTIS programme of the Department of Biotechnology, Government of India
