Keeping it in mind, science departments of VJRC and IQAC have organized Lecture Series on Biodiversity organized by by Internal Quality Assurance Cell Cell (IQAC) in collaboration with the Department of Botany, Microbiology, Physiology and Zoology, VJRC. On 25.06.2020 (Session 1) Dr. Asok Kanti Sanyal Chairman, West Bengal Biodiversity Board (Dept. of Environment, Govt., of W.B.), Prani Sampad Bhavan, Former Emeritus Scientist, Zoological Survey of India, Kolkata (Min. of EF & CC, Govt., of India) delivered his lecture on “Intellectual Property right in perspective of Biodiversity in India”. | ||||||

| 10 | National Webinar Lecture Series (Session 2) on Biodiversity was organized by Internal Quality Assurance Cell Cell (IQAC) in collaboration with the Department of Botany, Microbiology, Physiology and Zoology, VJRC. The speaker of the Session 2 of the series was Dr. Sudipta Ray, Assistant Professor, Department of Botany, University of Calcutta, on 07.07.2020 on Google Meet Platform (online) from 4.00 pm and onwards. It was a successful Session and there was approximately 200 person have done the registration for the programme. | ||||||

| 13 | World Environment Day, 2021 was celebrated by Dept. of Botany in collaboration with Dept. of Environmental Science, Dept. of microbiology, Research & Guidance Cell & IQAC in collaboration with Science Association of Bengal. We organized 2-days Student Development Programme (5th and 6th June, 2021). Students participated in debate (Topic: Nature and Development Go hand In Hand) and quiz competition (Topic: Environmental Issues). | ||||||
| 14 | Online Parent-Teacher Meetings were organized by the Department of Botany to discuss the students’ attendance, performance, and progression about the students on 30th June 2021 (2nd and 4th-semester students) and 1st. July 2021 (6th Semester students). |

| 15 | Online Fresher’s Welcome “Virtual Botanica” was organized by the students (4th & 6th Sem) which got strong support from the alumni of the Dept. of Botany of VJRC, on 03.07.2021. Students and teachers along with respected Principal Madam took part in the online cultural event. | ||||||

| 17 | Faculty Exchange Program: Dept. of Botany of VJRC and New Alipore College organized the Faculty Exchange Program (under MOU) on 17.07.2021 by Dr. Mahua Bhattacharya. This is a continuous process and students are enjoying doing class together (online mode) in this COVID situation. | ||||||
| 18 | Special Lecture was organized by Dept. of Botany, Placement Cell & IQAC of VJRC on 20.07.2021 on "After graduation? Be an entrepreneur!" Prof. Dr. Krishnendu Acharya showed ways to be an entrepreneur after graduation, at this COVID 19 situation. Students felt positive and happy. | ||||||
