About Me
Hello! I am Debashis Chatterjee. I am an Associate Professor of Physics in Vijaygarh Jyotish Ray College.
Regarding my past history, I graduated in 1983 from the Presidency College,
Calcutta (which has now become the Presidency University), affiliated then to the University of Calcutta.
I completed my post graduate study in the Department of Physics, University of Calcutta (Science College)
and then joined the Post M.Sc. course of Saha Institute of Nuclear Physics, Kolkata, in the year 1986.
After completion of the one-year course, I joined as a research scholar in the Theoretical Nuclear Physics (TNP) division
of the same Institute. My Supervisor was Prof. Haridas Banerjee and the area of my investigation was Theoretical High Energy Physics
and Quantum Field Theory.
I joined Vijygarh Jyotish Ray College as a Lecturer on 2nd May, 1991. At present, I am an Associate Professor in the Department of
Physics and also the Head of that Department.
