Strict discipline is maintained with the college campus. Soiling the wall of the college building by postering etc., loitering in the corridors, disturbing the neighbouring classes, causing damage to or loss of college property are not allowed. Misbehaving with college staff, either teaching or non-teaching, misbehaving with students, trying to do anything which may be detrimental to the academic interest of the students etc. are regarded as acts of breach of discipline and any student found guilty of committing will be severely punished. The entire procedure is supervised by the Disciplinary Cell headed by a senior teacher.


The college administration is led by the Principal/Teacher-In-Charge at the helm,coordinating and integrating the teachers, non-teaching staff and the students into an administrative whole. Leading from the front, the Principal/Teacher-In-Charge has set up a process of expansion and modernization that successfully infects and involves all concerned. A spirit of co-operation is evident among the guardians who are periodically informed of the attendance and performance of their words. That the college is on its way to realize its potential for indefinite progress is marked by its growth,quantitative as well as qualitative.


The academic session begins in the month of July and continues till the month of June of the next year. Admission to all classes is made strictly on merit. The choice of stream, offering of subjects, change of stream etc. strictly conform to the guidelines laid down by the University Of Calcutta, West Bengal. Attention of the students is drawn to the following general instructions:

3. (a) For on line admission please check our website regularly.

3. (b) The cash counter of the college remains open from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. (for day shift) and 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. (for evening shift) on all working days except Saturday and the first and last working days of the month.

3. (c) Change of Subject/Course may be allowed as per rules of the University of Calcutta, West Bengal, within one month from the date of commencement of the concerned class.

3. (d) All applications of the students addressed to the Principal/Teacher-in-Charge must come through the Head Assistant of the college office.

3. (e) Railway Concession Certificates, Character Certificates etc. will be issued to the students three (3) days after the date of submission of applications made to the college authority from time to time.

3. (f) A candidate may seek refund of his Laboratory / Library Caution deposits after completion of his course of studies. Only 50% of the Laboratory Caution deposit will be refunded.

3. (g) Every student must see the college Notice Board every day to keep himself/herself abreast of all the information circulated through various notices issued by the college from time to time.

3. (h) Students are to produce the fee-books at the time of taking delivery of their Admit Cards and Mark-sheets of the final examination.


1. Tuition Fees must be paid every month. Those who are unable to do so must obtain an order in writing by an application with acceptable documents.

2. "Iron Rings" have been fixed up with the walls inside the college campus with which every cycle of the students should be locked with heavy chains.

3. Necessary information may be obtained (for Railway Concession etc.) from the college office.

A student once admitted must regularly attend the class. As per University Regulation, a student must attend at least 75% of the total number of classes. The University Regulation may be classified as follow:

75% and above Collegiate
Less than 75% but more than 60% Non-collegiate
Less than 60% Dis-collegiate

In case of illness, Medical Certificates must be submitted from the registered doctors. Absence in any college examination however is not always excused by submission of Medical Certificate. The final decision will be taken by the concerned Head of the Department and the Principal/TIC.


Regular candidates are required to take initiative to obtain Registration Certificates from the University. Registration Form is required to be filled in at the time of admission and the college will not be responsible for registration of those students who take transfer from the college. Students migrating from University/Council are admitted to the college provisionally on production of the Migration Certificate from such University / Council. After such admission, they shall apply to the Calcutta University through the Principal of the college for getting the admission confirmed. Following documents are required for the above purposes:

1. Age proof Certificate.
2. Certificate / Mark-sheet of the previous examination
3. Migration Certificate
4. Caste Certificate (for SC / ST / OBC-A / OBC-B students)

The college will not be responsible if the University does not sanction migration to such candidates and in such cases the provisional admission gets cancelled.
